Referral Fees
Property management is a nickel dime business with small margins and small referral fees. When you refer a tenant we’ll pay you a 10% referral fee when the tenant moves in. (it really takes about 15 days). For an owner we’ll pay 20%, plus return the listing back to you when the owner is ready to list it for sale. We will protect your referrals at all times.
Co-op Fees
When you actually show a property to a tenant prospect we can pay you more. The amount varies between properties and is found in the FMLS confidential remarks.
Short Term Leases (under 12 months)
Leases under 12 months are subject to owner approval. Referral and co-op fees are paid on a prorated scale based on the length of lease term. (Example. A 6 month lease paying a 10% co-op fee will earn the co-op agent 5%).
We will protect your referrals
Almost 25% of our business comes from agents in the area. Over the years we have paid out tens of thousands in referral fees for tenant and owner referrals. If we happen to sell a tenant referral the home they are living in we will pay you a referral fee of 20%. We make notes in our data bases, and on our property files, when the tenant or owner belongs to another agent. We know you count on Crown to track this information for you and we will.
